HOUSTON (KIAH) — Much of southeast Texas is likely to get wet this weekend, but Sunday is getting drier now as the cold front moves a little faster than previous estimates.
We may see some light showers early Saturday morning and then some scattered thunderstorms later on Saturday afternoon.

Rain cover increases on Saturday evening as a cold front passes. In Houston this happens mostly between 8pm and midnight.

Rain is expected to continue on Sunday morning, but a cold front should be strong enough to move out of our area on Sunday, bringing rain with it.

In addition to rain, there will be a very noticeable temperature change this weekend. Temperatures could reach a record high of 79 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Then on Sunday the highs will be in the mid-60s.
