We know the team, we know the coaches, we know the players, and now we know the schedule. According to a press release, the San Antonio Brahmas will open their first XFL season at home in San Antonio.
Brahmas head coach Hynes Ward will lead the franchise against the St. Louis Battlehawks on February 19 at the Alamodome in Game 1 of the XFL restart. San Antonio fans will be able to take their seats next week for a first look at the newest Alamo City franchise.
“I am thrilled to start the 2023 XFL season at home at the Alamodome against St. Louis,” Ward said in a press release. “I am happy to bring professional football back to the great city of San Antonio. I know that in the state of Texas everything depends on their football. it’s good for the game as a whole. Our coaching staff and team are ready to give San Antonio another sports team they can be proud of and support.”
The 2023 10-game schedule will air on ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2 and FX throughout the season.
After their first home game against the Battlehawks, the Brahmas will hit the road and play the Orlando Guardians on February 26, the Houston Roughnecks on March 5 and the Seattle Sea Dragons on March 11 before returning to the Alamodome to take on the Arlington Renegades in March. nineteen.
San Antonio will play the Renegades in a few weeks, with the second game taking place in Arlington on March 26. The Brahmas will then travel to Sin City to face the Las Vegas Vipers on April 1st. They will end the season with three consecutive home games against Houston on April 9, Orlando on April 15, and the DC Defenders will close the season on April 22.
If the Brahmas make the playoffs, the first round will begin on April 29. The XFL championship game will take place on May 13.
Tickets go on sale January 12, but San Antonio believers can purchase season tickets now.
