SHOCK: A Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher committed suicide Saturday morning at the team’s training facility near Arrowhead Stadium. There are reports he killed his girlfriend and then drove to the Kansas City Chiefs facility and committed suicide.
Police are investigating two deadly shootings Saturday morning that they said are related. The shootings involve a Chiefs player and his girlfriend.
The first shooting was reported about 8 a.m. at a home near East 54th Terrace and Crysler Avenue. The second shooting was reported a short time later at a Chiefs practice facility located on the Arrowhead facility. Officials said the Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend and then drove to the practice facility where he shot and killed himself.
It’s unknown if people were at Arrowhead or any of its surrounding facilities at the time. The Chiefs confirmed the shooting in a written statement saying, “We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation.” Source

Police Capt. David Lindaman said Belcher, 25, and his girlfriend, 22, got into an argument around 7 a.m. at their home in the 5400 block of Crysler Avenue in Kansas City. Around 7:50 a.m., Lindaman said, Belcher shot his girlfriend multiple times. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Lindaman said Belcher’s mother, who was visiting the couple and their 3-month-old daughter, witnessed the shooting and was being interviewed by police.
Belcher left the scene on Crysler and went to the Chiefs practice facility at Arrowhead, police said.
Word out of Kansas City is that linebacker Javon Belcher, killed his girlfriend then committed suicide in front of head coach and GM.
