Jamal Mickens and his estranged wife, Irene Mickens, are dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a Park Towers apartment on Hammond Drive in Sandy Springs, Ga. The couple’s children, who were initially missing, have been found safe. According to the AJC, the couple lived at 789 Hammond Drive N.E. in the Park Towers apartment complex, and the murder-suicide occurred sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, Sandy Springs Police spokesman Lt. Steve Rose said. Police said they found a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun near the dead man.
