Missing CO Man William Ahrold, Son Jackson Ahrold Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Missing CO man William Ahrold and son Jackson Ahrold found dead in van near stretch of Colorado River in Grand County, in an apparent murder-suicide, the murder weapon and other items stolen from van.

Police said William Ahrold shot and killed his son Jackson Ahrold in an apparent murder-suicide in a van near a stretch of the Colorado River in Grand County, Colo., Saturday, but now the murder weapon is missing, according to 7News.

Police believe William Ahrold murdered his son and then killed himself, but the case has been complicated by the missing murder weapon, presumed to have been taken by someone who came upon the crime scene and stole other items from the van.

William Ahrold and his son have been missing since December 9 and it had been several weekends since any neighbors had seen them.
