Nike will launch its most expensive sneakers, the $315 Lebron X sneakers, and bans midnight launches to stem the brawls that have erupted with other releases. The company is only too happy to pass the costs, which reflects a five to 10 percent increase due to increased production costs and a decline in profits, on to those eager to waste money on these ridiculous sneakers. Of course, find a fool, use a fool.
Known for their superstar endorsed products such as Air Jordan’s, the new LeBron X’s will come complete with motion sensors to measure exactly how high the wearer jumps.
The sneakers were unveiled by NBA superstar LeBron James during the 2012 gold medal basketball game between the United States and Spain at the London Olympics. Source
Nike and Lebron James will be laughing all the way to the bank with these ridiculous sneakers. There is no way I would pay this price for a pair of sneakers for my kids. No way on earth. This is why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer — misplaced priorities. Nike claims they will retail a pair without motion sensors for $180. Um, that’s still too much money for a pair of sneakers.
