FLASHBACK: The greatest turkey pardoning disaster in U.S. politics featured John McCain’s bold vice presidential pick former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Fresh off a shellacking by then-candidate Barack Obama and his running mate Joe Biden in 2008, Sarah Palin headed to a Wasilla turkey farm to pardon a local bird, which is a common practice among governors. What made it hilarious was that while she delivered her prepared message, which was being videotaped, a man behind her decapitated turkey after turkey, even looking up towards her and the camera.
