Why won’t Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. speak to his constituents? Rep. Bobby Rush says his former colleague and friend still “can’t take the pressure of speaking publicly about his resignation, the Chicago Sun Times reports. Pressure? What pressure? Um, let’s remind him about former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer who became embroiled in a prostitution scandal. Um, he came forward, delivered a resignation speech and moved on with his life.
Rush also added, “Some moments he would be very articulate, very flowing with his thoughts, very much in control and command, but then at the drop of the hat, he just started crying.” Really? Seems that Jesse Jackson Jr. is hiding more than he claims. This isn’t just about being bipolar. The people of his district deserve better than this. Bobby Rush should be ashamed of himself to offer such a ridiculous explanation as to why Jesse Jackson Jr. is hiding.
