Police: Mason Johnson Charged in Stabbing Death of Dad Kenneth Johnson, a Chicago Aviation Security Officer

Mason Johnson, 24, was charged with first degree murder in the stabbing death of this father, Kenneth Johnson, an aviation security officer and shift supervisor for the Chicago’s Department of Aviation.

Kenneth Johnson, 48, was stabbed about 2:45 a.m. in the 11400 block of South Rockwell Avenue on Chicago’s Far South Side, Sunday morning.  He was stabbed multiple times, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The elder Johnson was pronounced deceased at 3:50 a.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The extent of Mason Johnson’s injuries aren’t currently known, but he is hospitalized.
