Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is mulling a run for governor of his home state of Maryland. He told MSNBC’s Chuck Todd Monday, “We’re looking at it. You’re going take a look at the numbers. Maryland’s a tough state, there are a lot of challenges there.” He wasn’t an effective RNC chairman for a number of reasons, but crazier things have happened, even in a blue state.
