Good Samaritan Mike Patterson, who dived into a creek to save a child from drowning in a Rockmart, has died. A message was posted on the Friends of Mike Patterson Facebook page early Friday morning said:
“We pray for a peace that surpasses all understanding. We find comfort and solace in knowing that Mike is whole and healthy again, walking in the Kingdom.”
Mike Patterson had severed his spinal cord in the incident when he saved a toddler who was being swept away. He was hospitalized in intensive care since the incident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mike Patterson.
