Marc Anthony came under a barrage of racist attacks from wingnuts after he sang the National Anthem at the MLB All-Star game Tuesday night. He appeared on “Live with Kelly & Michael” saying: “There were some statements made that people were upset that they would have someone from another country sing the national anthem. Let’s get this straight. I was born and raised in New York. You can’t get more New York than me.”
Still think we are in a post-racial America? Well, I beg to differ with Larry Elder and Charles Barkley. Some tweeters attacked Marc Anthony for being a ‘Mexican’ and saying it was ‘unAmerican for a Mexican’ to sing the national anthem. By the way, Marc Anthony is of Puerto Rican descent. If we really want to talk about the true Americans, why not look to the Native American Indians?
If you want to be disgusted even more, check out more tweets at Public Shaming. It’s mindboggling that these morons have a problem with Marc Anthony singing the National Anthem since we have a lot of Hispanics playing in the MLB and these fans don’t seem to have a problem. Unbelievable.
