Donald Trump Jr. released copies of the email chain with Rob Goldstone about meeting with a “Russian government attorney who is flying over from Moscow” to help the Trump campaign and damage Hillary Clinton.

One of the emails from Goldstone to Trump Jr. reads:  “The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with [Agalarov’s] father Aras this morning and their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia would be very useful to your father.”

Donald Trump Jr.’s response to getting dirt on Clinton:  “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”

The New York Times reports that a June 3, 2016 email explicitly stated that “one of his father’s former Russian business partners had been contacted by a senior Russian government official and was offering to provide the Trump campaign with dirt on Hillary Clinton.”

Um, instead of calling the FBI and alerting them of Russia’s efforts, he was content to commit treason to help his father win by holding the meeting. It should be noted that Trump Jr. forwarded the email chain to campaign officials Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort.

“The documents “would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father,” read the email, written by a trusted intermediary, who added, “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”

“If the future president’s elder son was surprised or disturbed by the provenance of the promised material — or the notion that it was part of an ongoing effort by the Russian government to aid his father’s campaign — he gave no indication.”

“He replied within minutes: “If it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”

Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer they met with, told NBC’s Today of the June 2016 meeting, “It’s quite possible that maybe they were longing for such information. They wanted it so badly.”

Trump Jr. tweeted the emails after the NY Times forced his hand:
