Mohamed Noor has been identified as the Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot Justine Damond after she reported a possible assault in an alley behind her home.
Noor was sitting in the passenger seat of the police squad car when he shot across his partner through the window striking Damond.
Noor, a Somali-American, has been with the force since 2015. He and the other officer have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
