Donald Trump thinks Texas churches, like Joel Osteen’s megachurch, should be reimbursed with FEMA relief funds for helping Hurricane Harvey victims. Maybe they should start paying taxes like everyone else.
Trump tweeted: “Churches in Texas should be entitled to reimbursement from FEMA Relief Funds for helping victims of Hurricane Harvey (just like others).”

Um, don’t even shake your head in disbelief. Donald Trump is an ignoramus who thinks he’s smart. He has no clue how this all works. The tweet comes after three Texas churches “severely damaged by the hurricane sued FEMA on Monday, saying the agency has a ban on providing relief where at least half a building’s space is used for religious purposes,” Reuters reports.
Well, the response of Twitter was predictably brutal:

Churches should get federal taxes they don't pay into for fulfilling their religious obligations
Mosques and synagogues however, nah https://t.co/vLWgRHzBif
