San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz clapped back at Donald Trump’s threat to pull FEMA workers from hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico: “Shame on you.”

Cruz tweeted:  “It is not that you do not get it; you are incapable of fulfilling the moral imperative to help the people of PR.” “Shame on you!”

Cruz wasn’t finished. She tweeted, “your comments about Puerto Rico are unbecoming of a Commander-in-chief, they seem more to come from a “Hater-in-Chief.”

She continued with a longer statement to NBC News:

Trump sent out a series of heartless tweets attacking the island. “Puerto Rico survived the Hurricanes, now a financial crisis looms largely of their own making,” says Sharyl Attkisson. “A total lack of accountability say the Governor. Electric and all infrastructure was disaster before hurricanes. Congress to decide how much to spend.”

“We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders, who have been amazing (under the most difficult circumstances) in P.R. forever!”

On Sept. 29, Trump literally said, “We will be there every day in Puerto Rico.” On Oct. 12, he said, “The federal relief effort could end.” I want to know when will lawmakers in Congress say enough is enough to this madness. We do not leave our people in distress because the 71-year-old manbaby got his feelings hurt.
