Trump Economy Hits Skids as First US Job Losses Posted Since 2010

The Trump economy hits skids as the first US job losses posted since 2010 in September, that’s despite losses due to Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma hitting Texas and Florida, respectively. Thanks to Donald Trump, the longest streak of job growth in U.S. history has come to an end.

CNBC reports: “Hurricanes Harvey and Irma damaged not only Texas and Florida but also the U.S. jobs picture, as payrolls fell by 33,000 in September. That drop came even as the unemployment rate fell to a 16-year low of 4.2 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday…Economists surveyed by Reuters expected payroll growth of 90,000 in September, compared to 169,000 in August. The unemployment rate was expected to hold steady at 4.4 percent. It declined even as the labor force participation rate rose to 63.1 percent, its highest level all year and the best reading since March 2014.”

There are clear signs that a job slowdown is underway and that will not bode well for Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections and beyond.

Donald Trump likes to brag that he can turn this economy around. Um, no such thing. His failure is on display every day and now it’s filtering into the economy. Remember when he constantly railed against Barack Obama’s jobs numbers? Obama posted good numbers compared to George W. Bush and now Trump.

There’s a Trump tweet for everything. Back in 2012 he hit Barack Obama on his job numbers. Of course, his lies about Obama are now his truths.

Of course, Twitter took notice:
