Donald Trump says “I’d love to see a shutdown” if Congress can’t reach an immigration deal done by Thursday. In other words, he is holding the Dreamers hostage for a border wall be said Mexico would pay for.
Trump said, “We’ll do a shutdown. And it’s worth it for our country. I’d love to see a shutdown if we don’t get this stuff taken care of. So we have to strengthen our borders, not by a little, by a lot.”
According to the pool report, there was some fireworks. Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA) clapped back at Trump’s comments to his face during a White House meeting, saying, “We don’t need a government shutdown on this.”
"We do not need a government shutdown on this," Rep. Barbara Comstock says after Pres. Trump suggests "another shutdown" over immigration policies.
"You can say what you want, we're not getting support from the Democrats on this legislation," the president replied. pic.twitter.com/0V3tcCHZ18

Trump clearly has no clue on how to government. Judging from his multiple corporate bankruptcies, it’s very obvious that he is a lousy negotiator. You will recall he shouldered a lot of the blame for the first shutdown that was on his one-year anniversary since his shitty inauguration.
