Chris Cuomo destroys rich GOP lobbyist Matt Schlapp for “obvious hypocrisy” over comic Michelle Wolf’s remarks about the Trump White House at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Cuomo literally cussed him out on live television and it was glorious!!!!
Schlapp appeared on CNN’s New Day with his self-righteous bullshit about Michelle Wolf going too far (she told the truth) while giving Donald Trump a pass for the unspeakably meanspirited things he gets away with saying. He claimed he and his wife, Mercedes Schlapp, left the dinner because of Wolf’s routine.
First up, co-host Alisyn Camerota started the interview by asking Schlapp about the comments Donald Trump made about women and his mocking of disabled reporter Serge Kovaleski. Of course, Schlapp had an excuse for the attacks on Kovaleski, saying he wasn’t sure Trump was mocking him or not and claimed his main issue was with Wolf’s jokes mocking abortion, which by the way is her right.
That didn’t sit well with Cuomo who wasn’t going to let this hypocritical bullshit fly. “When you come on and you are upset about this comedian … you do not match that in any way when it comes to the President,” Cuomo told Schlapp.
“You can’t give the president the benefit of the doubt on everything, [as if] you don’t know what he meant to do when he made that mannerism,” Cuomo said.
“Please! If it were your kid or your wife you would probably change party stripes over it!”

Schlapp tried to throw around his privilege saying that he was open to bipartisanship as evidenced by his appearance on New Day. Cuomo clapped back saying that Schlapp appears on the show “because you want the platform and we reward you for that.”
Schlapp in the throes of a snowflakey temper tantrum responded, “That’s a very mean thing to say.” He argued that CPAC, the conservative political conference he chairs and where divisive Republicans such as Ann Coulter and Wayne LaPierre have spoken, is welcoming of those who aren’t conservatives.
Cuomo gave him the eye-roll and the “oh please” treatment. “You had people up on stage, mocking me openly, as if I’m some kind of enemy,” Cuomo said. “You never came on and apologized to me.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Shclapp replied. “You know damn well what I’m talking about,” Cuomo clapped back.
There are some other self-righteous journalists running to pathological liar Sarah Huckabee Sanders rescue and demanding an apology after Michelle Wolf told the truth about her tsunami of lies. Andrea Mitchell and Mika Brzezinski, who hammered Hillary Clinton hard during the 2016 presidential campaign, have NEVER demanded an apology from Donald Trump for any of the horrible things he has said, but yet a comedian is the f*cking problem? Give me a break.

The right’s stonewalling and gaslighting is beyond exasperating, good job @ChrisCuomo on calling it out.

@realDonaldTrump is a hypocrite, so now he & his admin can have a self-realization to how it feels when they insult folks daily with adjectives one may feel are offensive…

Leader sets the tone. #45 has set the current tone. Maybe someone should list all of the inappropriate comments 45 has made because I don’t recall conservatives being appalled & insulted. #hypocrisyatitsfinest
