Fox News’ host Sean Hannity is being called one of the biggest losers of 2012 and it’s with good reason. The NY Daily News reports that he has lost one-half of his audience after President Obama won reelection. Yeah, that’s because he was dead wrong in many of his predictions about the outcome of the election and about President Obama. Add Dick Morris to the mix and you’ll see why he deserves to lose his viewers. Sean Hannity has ZERO credibility. This comes as he tried to make hay of Hillary Clinton’s medical problems, saying he wanted to see the medical report about her concussion.

NY Daily News:  According to Nielsen numbers, Hannity lost around half of his audience in the weeks after the election, while his Fox News colleague Bill O’Reilly — who steadfastly refuses to identify himself politically as a conservative — retained around 70% of his audience.

So what happened to Hannity?

The going wisdom is that viewers who basked in his preelection anti-Obama rhetoric tuned him out when they were stunned to wake up on Nov. 7 and discover that the President had won a second term — a scenario that Hannity had all but promised could never happen.

[...]

Adding insult to injury, two of Hannity’s rivals on MSNBC, Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow, held onto huge chunks of their audiences, while at CNN, far less politically polarizing host Anderson Cooper lost almost none of his viewers postelection.

It got even worse for Hannity in the “money demo” of viewers 25-54, who are prized by advertisers.

With this group, Hannity held onto less than half his preelection audience. O’Reilly, on the other hand, kept almost 70%.

And through the early part of December, Maddow actually beat Hannity in the coveted group — a shocking turn, because until the election, Hannity was unassailable by any of his rivals, at least in terms of ratings.

Sean Hannity tried to resurrect Rev. Jeremiah Wright, played up a speech by then-candidate Barack Obama at Hampton University, and try to strike a low blow in denigrating and discrediting President Obama, but it all backfired with a resounding defeat of Mitt Romney in the elections.

New York magazine’s Gabriel Sherman reports Fox News chief Roger Ailes has benched Karl Rove and Dick Morris for now. Producers must now get permission before booking either of the two men. You will recall Karl Rove had an on-air squabble over the network’s polling analysts calling Ohio for President Obama in the Nov. 6 elections. Dick Morris had predicted a Mitt Romney landslide, which was quite the opposite. Um, Romney got the shellacking. Gabriel Sherman reports the explanation for the benching of both men is that the “election is over.”

HUBRIS:  Karl Rove, who tried to influence the presidential election with his American Crossroads and Crossroads GPS super PACs, is crying foul, saying the Obama campaign “succeeded in suppressing the vote.” Um, funny he should use the word suppressing, since it’s evident from the deliberate actions by Republican leaders in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania to suppress voters. I also didn’t realize Karl Rove was the spokesman for the Republican Party, but then again, in an earlier post, I said the GOP had a Karl Rove problem.

Karl Rove defended Republicans’ work this election cycle, arguing that President Obama only won by making neither candidate look palatable and that Mitt Romney, not outside groups, should have fought back harder.

The president’s campaign “succeeded by suppressing the vote,” Rove told Fox News. “They effectively denigrated Mitt Romney’s character, business acumen, experience.” Source

The Deep South will always be stuck in the dark days in America’s history when blacks were denigrated and treated as less than a human. Well, the University of Mississippi Chancellor Dan Jones has expressed disappointment in the “immature and uncivil approach” taken by some students after President Obama won reelection in last night’s presidential election. I guess after all these years, Ole Miss still gives people a reason to view the school and state negatively.

A statement released by the university Wednesday says some students notified university police that people were gathering near the student union to protest President Barack Obama’s reelection.

Officers arrived to find about 30-40 students in front of the union, which quickly grew to more 400 students within 20 minutes. Source

Funny Ole Miss should be in the news for racial intolerance but they are no stranger to this despicable behavior. Remember James Meredith, who had to be escorted to school because racists didn’t want him there.  These are the lunatics Mitt Romney appealed to.
