A man died on Monday after a shooting at a home in Woburn, Massachusetts, police said. Detectives were called to a house on Washington Street near the intersection with Carlena Terrace at about 3:40 am. police tape. “We have an unresponsive group in the basement, possible gunshot wound, starting CPR on him,” an officer at the scene radioed. “We have another group, possible gunshot wound. It’s ahead.” Arriving officers found two men with gunshot wounds. One man was taken to an area hospital, but the second man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police said it appears the two men knew each other and that the shooting was not a random act of violence. I thought it was one of the lights flashing red, and then I came to find out, the cruisers started showing up,” neighbor William Govostes said. A neighbor said an officer and K-9 also searched near his shed in the morning soon “And I didn’t know if he was looking for an individual, or something, but then there were cruisers everywhere,” Govostes said.The names of the victims were not released.Massachusetts Police Department and State Police.

Detectives were called to a house on Washington Street near the intersection with Carlena Terrace at about 3:40 in the morning. A ranch-style home has been cordoned off with yellow police tape.
“We have an unresponsive party in the basement, possible gunshot wound, starting CPR on him,” an officer at the scene radioed. “We have another party, possible gunshot wound. It’s ahead.”
Arriving officers found two men with gunshot wounds. One man was taken to an area hospital, but the second man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police said it appears the two men knew each other and that the shooting was not a random act of violence.
“I thought one of the lights was flashing red, and then I came to find out, the cruisers started showing up,” neighbor William Govostes said.
A neighbor said an officer and K-9 also searched near his cabin early in the morning.
“And I didn’t know if he was looking for an individual, or something, but then there were cruisers everywhere,” Govostes said.
The names of the victims were not disclosed.
The incident remains the subject of an active investigation by the Woburn Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police.
