Police: Woman Arrested After Green Paint Found Splattered at National Cathedral

Washington D.C. police have arrested a woman at the Washington National Cathedral after green paint was found splattered there. Assistant Chief Peter Newsham said the woman will likely face property destruction charges. The statue of Joseph Henry on the National Mall was also defaced on Monday.

Green paint was also found splattered Friday at the Lincoln Memorial. At the National Cathedral, paint was poured atop an organ in a chapel and in the children’s chapel on the main level, the Washington Post reports.
