I usually steer clear of writing about Ted Nugent, mainly because I think he’s a racist moron, but I can’t help but commend Sen. Rand Paul for taking a stand against his racist rhetoric. Ted Nugent recently called President Obama a “subhuman mongrel.”
Nugent’s comment touched off controversy and Republicans have had varying reactions. Ted Cruz lauded Ted Nugent for his commitment to the Second Amendment and Texas Gov. Rick Perry kinda found the comment offensive.
Sen. Rand Paul made it clear in a recent tweet that the comment is “offensive” and Ted Nugent should apologize. Paul said Nugent’s “derogatory description” of Obama is just beneath anyone.
The Republican National Committee is on a minority outreach, but yet, Ted Nugent is being embraced by many in the GOP. The politics of inflammatory speech is the very reason why we will have another Democrat in the White House come 2016. No-one in their right mind would support a party that embraces such an ideology.
Ted Nugent's derogatory description of President Obama is offensive and has no place in politics. He should apologize.
