Friends and family have identified 38-year-old Eric Johnson as the shooting victim at the Wiz Khalifa concert Friday night. No suspect has been arrested. The shooting occurred in the backstage area of the Shoreline Amphitheatre. Johnson was reportedly shot multiple times shortly after 11 p.m., just after the concert ended.

Eric Johnson died Saturday morning after being taken to a local hospital. There were no other injuries during the shooting.

Police are searching for the suspect, who witnesses say used a black handgun with a large clip. The police have not released a motive for the shooting, nor have said if there is a connection between Eric Johnson and his killer. It’s also unclear as to how the suspect could have brought a firearm into the Shoreline Amphitheatre.

The suspect in Eric Johnson’s shooting is identified as a black male in his 20s, with short hair, about 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, Mountain View police spokeswoman Shino Tanaka said. He was reportedly wearing a black shirt, a red baseball cap and possibly white pants, Tanaka said.
