Indianapolis police-involved shooting: Andre Green, 15, was shot and killed in a police-involved shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis Sunday night.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. when officers noticed a car near East 30th Street and North Chester Avenue that matched the description of a car that had been hijacked earlier on Sunday.
Police say the occupants of the vehicle were seen “shooting at people when they stole it,” WISHTV reports.
Police followed the vehicle but the driver accelerated and made a U-turn at a dead-end. The driver rammed the police cruiser on the driver’s side. WISHTV reports “multiple passengers exited and ran westbound.”
Andre Green, the driver of the car, exited the vehicle “armed with a gun and collapsed by the driver’s side door” after police opened fire on the vehicle, WISHTV reports. Green was pronounced dead at the scene.

If you can't detain an unarmed child without taking his life, you shouldn't be a police officer. Plain and simple. Rip #AndreGreen

#AndreGreen was an armed criminal ramming a high jacked car into police cruisers blocking his path. I don't care if he was a 15 year old.
