Rep. Steve King: We Can’t Restore Civilization with Somebody Else’s Babies

King was echoing the sentiment of Dutch white nationalist Geert Wilders who is running in the upcoming election in the Netherlands.

He tweeted:  “Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies.”

Will House Speaker Paul Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and others in the GOP repudiate King’s racist comments? Um, never mind the fact that many of the biggest and most successful companies, including tech companies, were either started, or are currently led by immigrants. I am pretty sure Mr. King has an iPhone. Steve Jobs is a descendant of immigrants.

Former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke is gleeful over King’s tweet: “Just in case you were thinking about moving –> sanity reigns supreme in Iowa’s 4th congressional district.”

Steve King, who is a big supporter of Donald Trump, is no stranger to this kind of divisive rhetoric. He previously said that only white people contributed to Western civilization during an appearance on Hardball with Chris Matthews. He asked what have minorities contributed to civilization. This man is a member of the House of Representatives. When will the people in his district say enough is enough?
