Professional golfer Tiger Woods arrested in Jupiter, Fla., for drunk driving early Monday morning, WPBF News reports.
“He was arrested around 3 a.m. on Military Trail south of Indian Creek Parkway.”
Woods issued a statement saying that alcohol was not involved but a combination of prescription medicines.
NBC News reports Woods said in a statement: “I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions,” Woods said in a statement. “What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.” “Woods said the DUI was not at all related to alcohol. He also apologized to friends, family and fans.”
