Donald Trump shamefully tweeted about the need for his travel ban after “possible terrorist incidents” occurred in London Saturday night. Nothing like pushing his xenophobic agenda and targeting Muslims.
Trump tweeted: “We need to be smart, vigilant and tough. We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the travel ban as an extra level of safety.”
We need to be smart, vigilant and tough. We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!

His first tweet following the news was to retweet the Drudge Report:
Fears of new terror attack after van 'mows down 20 people' on London Bridge…
— DRUDGE REPORT (@DRUDGE_REPORT) June 3, 2017
Um, that’s despite British Prime Minister Theresa May saying the incidents are being treated as “potentially terrorist attacks.” The incidents occurred on the London Bridge, Vauxhall and Borough Market.
Furthermore, I don’t believe there have been any terrorist attacks that this travel ban would have prevented. The last incidents that occurred in the U.S. were committed by Americans.
Gee, I wonder how this latest tweet will factor into the SCOTUS hearings about the Muslim ban, since the Justice Department maintains it’s not a ban, while Trump keeps tweeting that it is.
Scotland Yard confirmed that the stabbing at Vauxhall was not related to the incidents at London Bridge and Borough Market.
Reaction on Twitter:
We need to be outraged when the president exploits a terrible violent crime to push his discriminatory and illegal policy. https://t.co/fcEi6WPmlv

Attention Supreme Court–>Now he's calling it a travel ban again and giving you reason to uphold the lower courts' rulings.
What a dope. https://t.co/tjuw8BCFhs

What we need is a different president who understands the Constitution and cares more about the American people than he does about his money https://t.co/wtTJLrLxoc

What? Ban travel from the UK? We need intelligence, insight, wisdom, courage, strength. We need to stop the sociopaths & dullards, e.g. you. https://t.co/BuWxk7GjRu

Imagine. IMAGINE if Obama politicized a terrorist attack against our strongest ally within minutes of hearing civilians had been killed. https://t.co/nggJEit2vb

We need to be opportunistic, alarmist and racist. We need to quickly invoke my Travel Ban before we know anything about the UK perpetrators! https://t.co/tricY56JeX

The ban doesn't apply to the U.K. https://t.co/md2hDickwP

Pres. Trump has used Twitter to share news report on London incident.
We aren't relaying president's retweet, as the info is unconfirmed.

Judging by the President's feed, he was on twitter and checking Drudge Report while a potential terrorist incident was unfolding.

President calls London attack terrorism before its confirmed and calls for ban. Where was he after Portland hate crime killed Americans? pic.twitter.com/4ynrnIKHBK
