The title of James Comey’s new book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership, should terrify Donald Trump because it promises to be a total evisceration of his presidency. It will most definitely cover the infamous conversation the two men had during which Trump asked for a loyalty pledge. It’s also interesting that the book will be coming out in May, 2018, since Trump fired Comey in May.
Comey testified on Capitol Hill that Trump asked him for loyalty while they dined at the White House, saying “I need loyalty, I expect loyalty.” Comey said he told Trump that he could not pledge personal loyalty, but he would be honest. Trump later fired Comey, telling NBC News Lester Holt that it was because of the Russia investigation, stomping all over the White House talking points that the firing came because of Comey’s handling of the Hillary Clinton e-mail investigation.
The description of A Higher Loyalty on Amazon.com, says that Comey will share some “never-before-told experiences from some of the highest-stakes situations of his career in the past two decades of American government,” during his stints in the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations and culminating with the Trump administration. He will explore “what good, ethical leadership looks like, and how it drives sound decisions.”
Comey also trolled Trump, tweeting, “Lordy, I hope there are pictures.” During his testimony on Capitol Hill Comey said, “Lordy, I hope there are tapes” after Trump claimed to have taped their conversation. That was a lie.

James Comey’s new book promises to be a total evisceration of Donald Trump, lies and all. I hope former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates is also working on a book, which would also be a total evisceration of everything Donald Trump stands for.
