Starbucks announces that it will close 8,000 company-owned stores in the U.S. on May 29 for racial-bias training after two black men were arrested for trespassing at a Philadelphia Starbucks.

When the men did not leave, the manager, identified as Holly Hylton, called and they were later arrested.
A video of the incident went viral after it was posted online. Starbucks CEO issued an apology saying that the “disheartening situation” led to a “reprehensible outcome” and pledged that the company would do better.
