LMAO: CNN reports that only 4-10 Philadelphia Eagles players had planned to show up for the White House visit when Donald Trump threw a fit and cancelled the visit. This comes as Philly Mayor Jim Kenney ripped him anew on Tuesday morning after his scathing statement on Monday.
Kenney blasted Trump on Monday: “Disinviting them from the White House only proves that our President is not a true patriot, but a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend.”
Kenney followed that up with another scathing rebuke during his interview on CNN’s New Day, saying his father got him out of serving during the Vietnam War. You will recall Trump got five deferments. He said, “I think it’s really disingenuous for Trump to talk about patriotism in any way, shape or form.

The 71-year-old toddler was infuriated on Monday when he learned the majority of the Philadelphia Eagles players weren’t going to show up because of his policies and his actions. It’s worth nothing that none of the Eagles players knelt during the pre-game rendition of the national anthem or stayed in the locker room. His fight with the Eagles is based on fiction. He’s trying to make this about the flag and the anthem. It’s not.
Here’s Mayor Kenney’s full statement:
“The Eagles call the birthplace of our democracy home, so it’s no surprise that this team embodies everything that makes our country and our city great. Their athletic accomplishments on the field led to an historic victory this year. Fans all across the country rallied behind them because we like to root for the underdog and we feel joy when we see the underdogs finally win. I’m equally proud of the Eagles’ activism off the field. These are players who stand up for the causes they believe in and who contribute in meaningful ways to their community. They represent the diversity of our nation—a nation in which we are free to express our opinions.
“Disinviting them from the White House only proves that our President is not a true patriot, but a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend.
You will recall Donald Trump called black NFL players protesting police brutality and racism “sons of bitches,” who should be “thrown off the field.”
