Twitter slams Bernie Sanders for trying to upstage Stacey Abrams, who is set to deliver the Democratic response to the State of the Union address, with his own response.
The Hill reports, “His response will follow Trump’s speech and be streamed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter…. at the same time that former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams delivers the official Democratic Party response.”
The Sanders response is *after* the official Democratic response delivered by @staceyabrams, but still a lot of reasons this will grate/alienate.

Bernie is such a narcissist that he thinks it’s all about him and he’s right to overshadow the first black woman to deliver a SOTU response. Yeah, that should play over really well with the black votes he thinks he can win this time around.

Black voters in the South will remember when Bernie dismissed us during the 2016 presidential campaign and now he’s doing it again, even before he tries to muddy up the 2020 presidential race.
Well, Twitter didn’t hold back:
Stacey Abrams is the closest thing to a consensus representative Democrats have – everyone loves her, all factions supported her, she is broadly viewed as the future of the party. No one who cared about party unity would want to undercut or distract from her message tomorrow.

Bernie Sanders should reconsider doing his own response tomorrow. Stacey Abrams, the first black woman to ever give a State of the Union rebuttal, deserves the spotlight. She’s more than capable of mopping the floor with Trump without any help.

Bernie Sanders trying to steal the spotlight from Stacey Abrams tells you everything you need to know about him.

Instead of trying to upstage @staceyabrams Something you could do with an extra 10 minutes.
Print off 10 years

If I accidently hear him, mute.
“He is dead to me.”

Sorry, I’m just having fun imagining the rage tweets from red rose twitter if Kamala Harris tried to pull this.

I don’t know if you heard, but there is this amazing woman named @staceyabrams who is delivering the State of the Union response. Not sure why you are going rogue and doing your own response. I really wish you could step back for once and not be so divisive.
