House Speaker Nancy Pelosi drops the hammer: Attorney General William Barr “committed a crime” when he “lied to Congress.”
Pelosi, referring to Barr’s disastrous testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, said: “What is deadly serious about it is the attorney general of the United States of America was not telling the truth to the Congress of the United States. That’s a crime.”
.@Kasie: Did AG Barr commit a crime?
Speaker Pelosi: "He lied to Congress. If anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime."@Kasie: Should he go to jail?
Pelosi: "There's a process involved here … The committee will act upon how we will proceed." pic.twitter.com/kQnfEdL1iD

Barr’s spokesperson at the Justice Department fired back saying the comments were reckless.
Democrats on the committee hammered Barr for giving Donald Trump cover and lying about the Mueller report.
Sen. Mazie Hirono called Barr a liar to his face as she ripped him for acting as Trump’s defense lawyer and not as the attorney general of the United States.
Sen. Kamala Harris did the most damage when she dismantled Barr in eight minutes, forcing him to admit he did not read the underlying documents in the Mueller reports but yet was able to exonerate Trump.
