The Washington Post reports that 8 El Paso patients still being hospitalized following the mass shooting refused to meet with Donald Trump during his visit on Wednesday.
Washington Post: “None of the eight patients still being treated at University Medical Center in El Paso agreed to meet with Trump when he visited the hospital, UMC spokesman Ryan Mielke said. Two victims who already had been discharged returned to the hospital with family members to meet with the president.”
This news comes as Trump spent his day attacking his perceived critics, Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, Sen. Sherrod Brown, former VP Joe Biden, Rep. Joaquin Castro, and Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke instead of focusing on uniting the country. He even found time to engage in “bothsiderisms” by equating white supremacy to Antifa (there’s no comparison) like he did after the deadly hate-fueled Charlottesville protests.
