American Jews trend on Twitter after Donald Trump says they either “lack knowledge” or “show great disloyalty” if they vote for Democrats, as he sets himself on fire attacking Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
“I think that any Jewish people who vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty,” Trump said during a presser in the White House on Tuesday.
By the way, Trump’s slumlord son-in-law Jared Kushner is a Jew and was a Democrat before he decided to run for office. Was he stupid and disloyal too?
Reaction on Twitter:
Enough, Mr. President. American Jews – like all Americans – have a range of political views. Your assessment of their knowledge or loyalty, based on their party preference, is divisive, disrespectful, and unwelcome. Please stop.https://t.co/6yjlz09KB9

Disgusting. The President of the United States just said that over 75% of American Jews are either disloyal or unintelligent. https://t.co/l6qTtZOaIB

71% of Jews supported Hillary Clinton in 2016.
So, what Trump is saying here is that the overwhelming majority of American Jews are either idiots or we're treasonous. https://t.co/RNSsPcyyAv

What’s it going to take for people to realize that Trump is antisemitic?
He’s called neo-nazis “very fine people,” has referred to Netanyahu as “our president,”.etc and is now calling 75% of all American Jews traitors.
Do we have to get murdered for them to open their eyes?

Trump says Jews who vote for Democrats are showing ignorance or “great disloyalty.” The House voted to denounce precisely this imputation of dual or dubious loyalty to the Jewish people. American Jews are not foreign agents and Jews in politics are not tribal representatives. https://t.co/ehvT9F7LxG

Trump demands “Allegiance” from American Jews….while accusing those who vote for his opponents of “Great Disloyality”.
Mussolini & Hitler made similar comments and accusations…
We all know what happened next. https://t.co/PFFPuRSjjl
