The National Weather Service’s Birmingham office issues a correction after Donald Trump claims Hurricane Dorian was heading for Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas.
Trump tweeted: “In addition to Florida – South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated. Looking like one of the largest hurricanes ever. Already category 5. BE CAREFUL! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!”
The only way Hurricane Dorian can get to Alabama is by crossing Florida and/or Georgia. It would literally have to double back and head for the Gulf.
The stupidity continues….on a daily basis.
The Birmingham NWS office tweeted: “Alabama will NOT see any impacts from #Dorian. We repeat, no impacts from Hurricane #Dorian will be felt across Alabama. The system will remain too far east.”

Reaction on Twitter:
Alabama won’t get hit unless Dorian jumps over Fl and ends up in the Gulf,, #dotard
You don’t know where Alabama is. For it to to impact Alabama, Dorian would have to cross Florida and Georgia to get to Alabama. None of the models show that happening. If I was as stupid as you, I would end it all.

Alabama? Have you ever looked at a map of the US before? pic.twitter.com/b9cXP921gb

Not surprisingly you left off the Bahamas. Although I’m sure it has zero to do with it being black and brown unlike those Southern white states… #HurricaneDorian #Trump
