Super Bowl 57 is ready: Sunday, February 12 in Glendale there will be the Philadelphia Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Eagles, using perhaps the easiest route to the Super Bowl that I can remember, tore the 49ers apart after Brock Purdy went down early with an arm injury. Backup Josh Johnson was ineffective and eventually left the game due to injury as well. Philadelphia handled on-field business, getting two scores from Miles Sanders and another from Boston Scott as they approached the NFC title.
The first game of the day was a snoozer, but the second one definitely worked.
The Chiefs finally got over their mental block of the Bengals, perhaps with the help of some (few) friendly whistle blowers in Arrowhead. A late hit ended up being the key play of the game, and Harrison Butker got past the game-winning field goal to once again send Patrick Mahomes and company to the Super bowl.
So Andy Reid’s bowl is officially open. The Kelce brothers will come to grips with everything at stake. This one certainly has no shortage of textures, that’s for sure.
Immediately after the match, sports betting quickly increased the odds. Depending on where you looked, you could find anything from a pick ’em to Kansas City -1 or so. Overnight, however, the Eagles jumped out to an early lead. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Eagles are now two-point favorites as things have settled down.
Knock down: Eagles -2
Money line: Eagles -130, Chiefs +105
Total: 50
Kick-off is set for 5:30 Central Sunday 12 February. FOX will have the coverage.
