They said Valentine’s Day is usually a last minute rush, but they’ll be ready. Working in the floral industry is a labor of love. “You will never be terribly rich, but you will be rich by living with a full heart and loving what you do every day,” said Trapp & Company owner Robert D. Trapp. For 53 years, Trapp worked in the florist and design industries. In half a century, a lot has changed. One thing is constant. “It’s the busiest day in the florist industry,” Trapp said. Valentine’s Day always has and will always bring haste. “It’s so fun to see people expressing love,” he said. “Valentine’s Day is all about love and loving your partner.” Trapp said it’s a holiday for procrastinators. “The boys are better off, but they still like to do it last minute. So, they come flying in the door. What’s wrong with you? What’s wrong with you?” he said. This year it falls two days after Super Bowl Sunday, a great distraction for even the most energetic suitors. So, there are things they have to pick up,” Trapp said.
