PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kansas (KCTV) — A missing cat from Miami, FL was found this week by a resident in Prairie Village, more than 1,400 miles from the home of the lost feline.
The orange tabby cat had been missing for two years. After the cat was found in Prairie Village, Animal Control scanned his microchip and contacted the Miami owner. They are working to reunite the cat with its owner.
It is unclear how the animal got to our area.
Prairie Village Police tweeted:
This orange tabby cat was found by one of our residents. The microchip has returned to an owner in Miami, Florida! Our animal control officer has contacted the owner in Miami and is working on getting them back together after two years of separation! I’m still trying to figure out she got here
