Two defendants withdrew from preliminary hearings in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court on Tuesday. Both had their cases bound in Division One District Court for Appearances on February 24.
Smithville’s Tiffany Ann Chandler faces three misdemeanor counts and four misdemeanor counts stemming from Jan. 18. She is charged with assault, attempted assault and assault on a special victim, each in the 3rd degree. Chandler is also charged with drunk driving, resisting arrest, reckless and reckless driving, and driving off the scene of an accident.
Blue Springs resident Priscilla Hertlzer has been charged with forgery since July 25.
Austen Tyler Bruckner of Trenton pleaded guilty to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child on Jan. 25. After the suspended sentence, Bruckner was placed on two years’ probation. He must donate $100 to the law enforcement restitution fund and pay court costs.
Overland Park, Kansas resident Matthew Robert Holopirek pleaded guilty to an amended count of drunk driving. The sentence was suspended and he was placed on two years’ probation. He is to serve five days of shock in the Grundy County Jail, credited with having already served three days.
Holopirek will wear a SCRAM tracking bracelet for 90 days. The money was taken from a cash bond sent to cover a $300 donation to the law enforcement restitution fund, $120 in a recovery fee, and court costs with the balance of the bond to be repaid.
