In August of 2022, we learned of a new restaurant opening in Cedar Rapids. The California-based chain everbowl got its first Iowa location at 1100 Blairs Ferry Road in the plaza directly next door Target. I drove through the restaurant’s grand opening in September and the line was wrapped around the building!
If you’re not familiar with everbowl, a press release states that it serves “an innovative menu of high-fiber, antioxidant-laden, vitamin-packed foods [acai] bowls and smoothies.” You can choose from menu items like the Full Moon Bowl, Blue Lagoon Bowl, and Tropical Bowl, or you can create your own with any ingredients you like! Simply select a base, such as acai or vanilla, and then add several fruits, nuts, granola, and “superboost.” The bowls look so good it might be hard to eat them!
Justin Sloan by Sloan Capital is the person behind the Cedar Rapids everbowl venue, and now he’s preparing to bring two more locations to the state of Iowa! One will be at 9250 University Ave in West Des Moines, but the other will be here in the corridor at 312 S Madison Street in Iowa City. The Iowa City Everbowl is conveniently located directly across the street from the on-campus Recreation & Health Center, right next door to Kum & Go.
Right now, we don’t have an exact opening date for the Iowa City Everbowl, but Justin told me that both that location and the one in West Des Moines will be open within the next 90 days. We will keep you updated when we hear more information! In the meantime, you can visit the Cedar Rapids Everbowl 8am-8pm daily
