Colorado, Florida and Indiana have seen the price of gas per gallon rise the most in the past week, each posting an increase of more than $0.10. Prices could rise further in the coming weeks. Gas prices tend to rise in March as higher demand for spring break travel can drive up prices for consumers.
Looking further, the Energy Information Administration expects 2023 and 2024 to feature gas prices below 2022’s record levels. The agency forecasts an average of $3 per gallon of gas for the full year of 2024.
