JONESBORO Ark. (KAIT) – Northeast Arkansas book lovers can rejoice.
On Wednesday, Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development announced the return of Barnes & Noble.
According to a press release, the store will be located on the corner of Caraway Road and Highland Drive in the former Pier 1 space at Crossroads Mall.
“Perseverance was definitely the key to getting this deal done,” said Zach Qualls, executive broker at Haag Brown. “The return of Barnes & Noble to Jonesboro for me personally has been going on since March 2020, after the tornado hit our mall. I’m so glad we can finally make this announcement as we know it’s been a long time.”
Jeremy Gamble purchased the 45,000-square-foot complex and plans to “revitalize and rename the Crossroads Center as an extension of The Uptown, a former Sears building renovated by Ted Herget and Jeremy’s brother, Chris,” the post reads.
“We have a local mall owner who will go above and beyond, and we have a rental broker who has been inspired to bring Barnes & Noble back into our community,” said Joshua Brown, director of Haag Brown. “This team will do what is good for the community. I’m grateful to be a part of it.”
