BASTROP COUNTY, TX (KXAN) — A Bastrop County murder suspect is in hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound after the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office said he participated in a police chase near College Station. According to the BCSO, the wound was self-inflicted.
Raul Caballero, 22, allegedly shot his girlfriend, Sofia Vera, 19, in the face, killing her. Her body was found by someone on FM-1704 in Bastrop County on Dec. 30, according to the BCSO.
