Bodies of two allegedly shot young women found in San Antonio hotel

Police believe they were in their late teens or early 20s.

The San Antonio Police Department is investigating after the discovery of two bodies with gunshot wounds in an Eastside hotel room on Tuesday, January 17. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said both bodies appeared to be those of women in their late teens or early 20s. .

McManus said the bodies were discovered around 11 a.m. after a housekeeper entered a room on the second floor of a Travelodge motel near Seguin Road and Beans Engleman. Both were found with gunshot wounds, McManus said.

Investigators are searching the area for witnesses and surveillance video.

Forensic experts are working to identify the two dead women.

SAPD said they are unable to provide more information at this time as the investigation continues.
