Corpus Christi police have arrested a woman who they say fatally hit her male partner with a car during an argument Tuesday night.
Police have arrested 54-year-old Norfilia Morales Aguirre for murder. On Wednesday morning, she was sent to the Nueces County Jail. Her bail is set at $500,000.
Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers answered a call at the 3600 Giants Drive block. Police said the man was in the middle of the street and was apparently hit by a car, according to a press release.
Officers at first thought the call was an accident involving a pedestrian with serious injuries, but after an investigation found the incident was intentional, the report said.
According to police, the man and woman accused of hitting him with a car were in a relationship. Police believe that because of the riots, a woman in her car hit a man.
The man, identified by the Nueces County medical examiner as 53-year-old George Wagoner, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
