De Soto, Kan., Man Receives Hard 25 Life Sentence For Aggravated Sodomy Of Child

A man from De Soto, Kan., was sentenced to life without parole for 25 years for criminal sodomy of a child. Kenneth Mills, 36, was convicted of having sexual contact with a girl under the age of four while he resided in her Lawrence home. “Children are among the most vulnerable in our community,” Douglas County District Attorney Suzanne Valdez said in a statement. “Perpetrators can never pin down the time, place or how their victims disclose assaults. These are always difficult cases and we will continue to pursue them to the best of our ability in order to uphold justice and community safety.

If he is ever released from prison, Mills will have to register as a sex offender for life.
