HCSO: At least 1 dead, 4 injured outside a club in northwestern Harris County.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said at least one AK-47 appeared to have been used in the shooting.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crime. shooting in which at least one person was killed and four others were injured.

It happened just after 2:00 am Sunday in a mall parking lot on FM 1960 near Greenwood Forest Dr.

According to a preliminary investigation, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that a car drove up to the club, from which several people got out and opened fire on everyone who was standing outside.

“It looks like over 50 shots were fired here, which is a very frightening situation given that there is a mobile food truck here and the number of visitors outside,” Gonzalez said.

This time, Gonzalez stated that they believed the victims were two men and three women. All five were taken to the hospital, where one of the men was pronounced dead. The sheriff had no update on the status of the other four. Gonzalez also said they believe at least one AK-47 was used in the shooting.

HCSO Homicide is now looking for witnesses and security footage to help them identify any possible suspects.
