As such, fans will want to make sure they don’t get stranded before a game when it comes time to find reliable and affordable parking and transportation.
Silver & Black are encouraging fans to arrive early to take part in the many celebrations and events planned for the evening to pay tribute to the Spurs’ 50th anniversary in Alamo City. Here’s how you can get into the Spurs’ record breaking game at the Alamodome.
VIA Park & Ride Service
VIA will offer a standard Park & Ride service on the Friday before the game. Travel to and from Alamdom will cost fans $1.30 one way. According to the company’s website, a $1.30 round trip discount is available for children aged 5-13, seniors aged 62 and over, Medicare recipients, individuals with disabilities, and students with a valid ID personality VIA.
VIA Park & Ride services begin at 4:30 pm on Friday. Alamodome service is provided at Crossroads Park & Ride and the AT&T Center.
Free parking in the city center
Free parking at the Alamodome is not expected on Friday night, but fans can find a few downtown properties that won’t charge visitors to park their cars.
According to the city, free parking will open at 3:00 pm at the City Tower and St. Mary’s. Early arrival is highly recommended for any location.
Ride-sharing apps and other services
There’s no word yet on any special deals between the Spurs and various ride-sharing apps, but fans still have the option to use them if all else fails. Ticket prices to the Alamodome are likely to rise due to increased demand as kick-off date approaches, so the sooner Spurs fans get to the venue, the better.
