The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a big Divisional Round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and an opportunity to get revenge presented itself on Sunday.
The Cincinnati Bengals, a team that faced Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game just a year ago, are coming to town. After the Chiefs pulled a commanding lead in the first half of that matchup, Joe Burrow and company stormed back and pulled off an improbable win to advance to the Super Bowl. That ended the Chiefs’ season on a sour note, and they’ll be looking to avoid a similar fate this time around.
The main storyline in this week’s game centers around Patrick Mahomes’ ankle, as the star quarterback suffered a high ankle sprain last week but is dealing with the pain in Kansas City’s biggest game of the season. Both teams plan to deliver a matchup worthy of the hype, and the winner will earn bragging rights as the proverbial best dog in the conference before playing in the Super Bowl in Glendale.
